Oregon Team ready for double challenge at Imola and Misano

Oregon Team is set for a busy double-header this coming weekend (May 9-10), competing at Imola and Misano.

The squad led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa will be on track in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, which heads to the Imola circuit for the second of six rounds this season. Two cars will compete in the Pro class, one of them entrusted to Patrik Fraboni and Silas Rytter. The Danish driver made an immediate impression in the opening round at Paul Ricard by claiming pole position, before securing a fifth-place finish together with his teammate and then stepping onto the podium in Race 2 with third place. Important points scored by the new Oregon Team pairing, which now sits fourth in the standings, just 11 points away from the championship lead.

Also confirmed in the Pro class is the rookie pairing of Rogério Grotta and Alfio Spina, who immediately showed strong pace in France despite ultimately securing a best result of seventh in the opening race of the weekend.

Meanwhile, Josef Knopp and 2025 Am champion Pietro Perolini head to Imola lying second in the Pro-Am standings, only seven points behind the leaders, thanks to two runner-up finishes at Le Castellet. A positive start to the season as well for Brazilian driver Adalberto Baptista, now in his second year in the continental series, who claimed a third-place finish in the Lamborghini Cup in France.

At the same time, Oregon Team will also be competing at Misano in the opening round of the Italian GT Championship Endurance series, fielding a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 to be shared by Enzo Geraci, Guido Luchetti and Artem Petrov, all of whom have already starred in the Sprint championship.

The Imola weekend will begin on Saturday with free practice and qualifying, while the first of the two 50-minute races will get underway on Sunday at 9:25 am. Race 2 is scheduled to start on Sunday at 3:30 pm. Both races will be broadcast live on the official Lamborghini Squadra Corse YouTube channel.

At Misano, track action begins on Friday with the first two free practice sessions. A third session will take place on Saturday morning ahead of qualifying. The three-hour race is scheduled to start on Sunday at 2:50 pm and will be broadcast live on ACI Sport TV as well as streamed on the championship’s YouTube channel.
