ITALIAN GT SPRINT, OREGON TEAM EXPANDS ITS COMMITMENT ENTERING A LAMBORGHINI FOR FICO-RYTTER IN THE GT CUP

Oregon Team will compete on two fronts in the Italian GT Sprint. Following the announcement of its line-up for the top class, where it will field two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 cars, the Italy-based outfit is set to expand its commitment to the GT Cup.

At Imola, which hosts the opening round of the season this weekend, the team led by Jerry Canevisio and Piergiorgio Testa will also run a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2.

Sharing driving duties in the Sant’Agata Bolognese-built car will be German-Italian Salvatore Fico and Denmark’s Milan Rytter, the latter being the brother of Silas, who is competing full-time with Oregon Team in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe this year.

The Fico-Rytter pairing will make its debut in the Italian GT series, as will the Lombardy-based squad in the national GT Cup competition.

At Imola, GT Cup track action will begin on Friday with free practice. Qualifying (two 15-minute sessions) is scheduled for Saturday at 09:55. The first of the two races, each lasting 50 minutes plus one lap, will get underway at 17:30. Race 2 is set to start on Sunday at 15:30, with live coverage on ACI Sport TV (Sky channel 228) and live streaming on the championship’s YouTube channel.
