First take of the season and a double success at Paul Ricard for Oregon Team, which kicked off the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe campaign in perfect style. A commanding overall victory came from the Pro pairing of Frenchman Enzo Geraci and young Czech driver Josef Knopp, who was making his debut in the one-make continental series reserved for cars from the Sant’Agata Bolognese manufacturer. Brazilian driver Adalberto Baptista also claimed victory in the Lamborghini Cup, where he too was making his very first appearance.
The Le Castellet weekend began with Saturday’s two qualifying sessions. In the first, Geraci posted the second-fastest time – just one thousandth of a second off pole – while Knopp secured fifth in the second session. Another Oregon Team rookie, Rosario Messina, set the tenth-fastest time in the same class, with his teammate Gustaw Wisniewski placing ninth. In the Am class, Pietro Perolini secured the fourth-fastest time, with teammate Massimo Ciglia in fifth. Baptista recorded the fifth-best time in both Lamborghini Cup sessions.
In Saturday’s Race 1, a penalty of five seconds due to a safety car infringement pushed Geraci and Knopp out of the overall top ten, though they still managed to finish fourth in class and scored points. Less luck for Messina-Wisniewski, who were forced to retire five laps from the end. Perolini and Ciglia secured a fifth place in the Am class, while Baptista went off track and was forced to retire.
Race 2 on Sunday told a different story. In wet conditions, Knopp quickly moved up to third place at the start. After the pit stops, Geraci rejoined in second and launched a decisive attack on the final lap, overtaking the leading car of Guido Luchetti to clinch his first win of 2025.
Wisniewski and Messina finished eighth in class, continuing to build experience. Perolini and Ciglia claimed sixth in the Am category, maintaining consistent performance. The final surprise came from the Lamborghini Cup, where Baptista starred in the second half of the race and crossed the finish line in first place.
Next up for the Oregon Team is the GT Open round at Portimão on April 26-27, while the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe will return to action at the end of May for Round 2 in Monza.

Oregon Team completed a very fruitful weekend at the Red Bull Ring. At the 4.3km Austrian track, the Italian squad secured their third win of the GT Open season as Alessio Deledda and race one polsitter Jordan Pepper claimed their second victory.
Oregon Team pair scored important points by delivering a lights-to-flag race one win in the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2, and made a great recovery in race two allowing them to break into the top-10 overall and claim the ninth position.
As a result, Deledda now sits second in the drivers’ stadings three points behid the Audi duo of Christopher Haase/Simon Reicher, while Pepper is third, having missed the Hungaroring round due to a clash.
At Red Bull Ring the other Oregon Team’s crew formed by Leonardo Pulcini and Rolf Ineichen (the Swiss driver made his return to the series after missing the Hungaroring and Le Castellet rounds due the posthumous of the crash at Spa) finished third. In race two the duo secured the fourth position. Pulcini started sixth and, after the pit-stop, Ineichen rejoined the field in fourth position but dropped fourth al the last lap.
Artem Petrov and Marzio Moretti, sharing a third Oregon Team’s Lamborghini, achieved their best result of the season claiming the sixt position in race two after finishing eight in the Saturday’s race one.
The next GT Open round will be held in just two weeks in Barcelona (28-29 September), ahead of the grand-finale at the Monza hometrack in October.

Oregon Team has secured its second win of the season in the International GT Open. Following the victory claimed at Hockenheim with Alessio Deledda and Jordan Pepper pair, the team led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa celebrated another success in the second of the two races at the Hungaroring, which hosted the fourth of the eight rounds, courtesy of Leonardo Pulcini and youngster German Simon Connor Primm, the latter replacing absent Rolf Ineichen at the wheel of the #63 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2.
Nineteen-year-old Connor Primm, who made his debut in the series, set the ninth best lap in the second qualifying and did an excellent start in race two when he moved up to fifth to maintain the position despite an early safety car period.
After the pit stops Pulcini did the rest of the work. The Roman driver returned to the track in third place, overtaking the Porsche of Swede Gustav Bergström a few minutes from the end, and then, on the penultimate lap, also the Ferrari of leader Alessandro Cozzi, with whom he had a contact.
In the first race on Saturday, Pulcini and Connor Primm finished just off the podium, taking a fourth-place finish. On the same occasion, Alessio Deledda, partnered with the returning Maximilian Paul (who replaced Pepper due to a clash with IMSA’s 6 Hours of the Glen), achieved a good seventh place.
Unfortunately, Paul lost a few positions at the start of race two, slipping from sixth to ninth immediately. For him and Deledda, it resulted in another seventh-place finish, with the Italian now third in the championship with 53 points, just seven behind leaders Dominik Baumann-Mikaeel Pitamber (Mercedes).
Finally, it was a very tough weekend for Marzio Moretti and Artem Petrov in the third Lamborghini fielded by the Oregon Team, finishing seventeenth in race two after Petrov was initially involved in a contact on Saturday and then retired.
The next International GT Open event is in almost a month, on July 20-21, at the French circuit of Paul Ricard, exactly one week before the fourth round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe, which will see the Cremosano team engaged at the Nürburgring.

A fortnight later the Hockenheim round, where Oregon Team claimed its first International GT Open victory of the season with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 driven by Jordan Pepper and Alessio Deledda, the team led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa returns to track at one of the most challenging circuits of the 2024 calendar.
Hosting this weekend (May 24-26) the third of the eight series’ events will be the 7.0km Belgian track of Spa-Francorchamps, where Oregon Team will field again a total of three cars, confirming the other Pro duos Rolf Ineichen–Leonardo Pulcini and Marzio Moretti–Artem Petrov.
The latter arrive at the Ardennes circuit aiming to put the Hockenheim round behind them, after achieving a best eight position at the Portimão opener.
Having consistently scored points so far, Ineichen and Pulcini are now chasing their first podium of the season that was denied to them in Germany after receiving a post-race one penalty for not respecting the minimum pit-stop time by less than a second, losing the second place. It was a different story for Deledda and Pepper, who achieved a victory and a fifth-place finish at Hockenheim, climbing up the standings to arrive at Spa sixth in the championship, just 13 points from the lead.
The Spa event will be unusual compared to the others, due to a format that includes only one race instead of two. A race that will cover a distance of 500 kilometers with a maximum duration of two hours and 40 minutes, starting on Sunday at 12:00 PM.
Friday will kick off with two free practice sessions. The first qualifying session, lasting half an hour, will start on Saturday at 11:05 AM, while the second will begin at 1:40 PM.
Both qualifying sessions and the race will be streamed live on the International GT Open YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/GTOPENseries.

Oregon Team launches a three-car attack in the International GT Open. The Italian team returns to the continental series aiming to regain the title won in its very first season in the series as Leonardo Pulcini and Benjamin Hites became the 2022 champions.
The upcoming season, which effectively kicked off with the Barcelona Winter Test that ended on Wednesday, will be particularly intense for the team led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa.
Oregon Team will field three Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 cars. Marzio Moretti and Artem Petrov will share the wheel of one of the Sant’Agata Bolognese cars (number 19). Moretti, a 22-year-old from Mantova, comes from the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe where he secured two victories last year at Paul Ricard and Valencia, both with Oregon Team. Petrov, 24, already has a season in GT3 in the Italian GT Championship under his belt, where in 2023 he clinched a victory at Monza in the Sprint series.
Factory driver Leonardo Pulcini (born in ’98) will return to the grid with the Lamborghini number 63, having spent last year competing full-time in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance championship. The Roman driver will share the wheel with Swissman Rolf Ineichen.
On car number 10, the other factory driver, Jordan Pepper, will be joined by Italian Alessio Deledda, who has been a regular presence in the DTM over the last two seasons.
The International GT Open calendar will feature eight events, starting from Portimão on the weekend of April 28th. After the Algarve round, the series will head to Hockenheim, Germany (May 12th), followed by Spa (May 26th), Hungaroring (June 23rd), Paul Ricard (July 21st), Red Bull Ring (September 15th), Barcelona (September 29th), and Monza (October 20th).

Oregon Team is set for the International GT Open season finale scheduled this weekend at the Montmeló circuit in Barcelona.
The Italian team as usual will field two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 cars. One of them for Pierre-Louis Chovet and Maximilian Paul, who secured their fourth victory of the season in the most recent round in Monza, following the ones claimed at the Hungaroring, Paul Ricard and Spielberg.
These successes let Chovet and Paul to head to Monza with 88 points, 19 less the standings’ leaders Charlie Fagg and Samuel De Haan (McLaren), and remaing in contention for the title battle with a total of 30 points still to be assigned.
For sure the duo will try to win again, in the same track where the last year the team led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa ended the 2022 season with a victory and celebrated the title with Benjamin Hites and Leonardo Pulcini.
Another pair to be noted will be the one formed by Daan Arrow and Pietro Perolini, one month ago frontrunners in Monza but not so lucky. In Spain they will have good chance for aiming for a podium finish.
Action will kick-off tomorrow with the test sessions. Free practices are scheduled on Friday. Qualifying one will start on Saturday at 10:20, followed by the first 70-minute race at 15:05. Q2 will commence on Sunday at 9:30. The last 60-minute race is scheduled at 13:30.
Both races will be live streamed on Championship’s YouTube channel.

It was an unusual weekend at Spa, as the heavy rain shortened the second race of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe. In Belgium, Oregon Team finished again on points with Sebastian Balthasar and Marzio Moretti, who claimed a second place and the victory to take the lead in the Pro after the Paul Ricard opener.
At the Ardennes track, Balthasar endured a tough qualifying one, as his best lap-time was cancelled following the contact he had with another car. The German racer started the first race on dry track from 19th row. Eventually he and Moretti completed a strong recovery to finish 9th.
Moretti showed well in Q2 by setting the fifth quickest time and third of his class. But the red flag stopped race two after four laps behind the safety car and half points were awarded. Consequently the Oregon Team duo moved to third in the drivers’ standings, three points behind New Zealander Brendon Leitch.
In race one Pedro Ebrahim and Guillem Puyeu Beya started from seventh row courtesy of Brazilian who set the 14th time over 48 cars. Ebrahim recovered well to hand over the car to his teammate, who finished 8th. The Spaniard in Q2 ended on 17th, to maintain the same position in race two.
A good recovery also for Filippo Berto and Alessandro Mainetti, the latter 21st in Q1. The Oregon Team pair then finished on P13 and P11 of the Pro class. Berto set the 16th time in Q2, as well as in race two.
Less luck for Pro-Am duo Enrico Bettera and Lorenzo Pegoraro. Pegoraro started the weekend by setting the 18th time in Q1, but Bettera was involved in a late incident and was forced to a stop at 15 out of 20 total laps. Bettera set the 39th time in Q2 to finish 38th in the second race.
The next Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe round is now scheduled for 29-30 July at the Nürburgring.

Oregon Team started the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season in the best way. The team led by Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa returned to success at the Paul Ricard, in the first of six 2023 rounds, claiming a second place and the victory in the Sunday’s race two courtesy of Italian Marzio Moretti and German Sebastian Balthasar – 21 and 26 years-old respectively – taking the Pro lead in the standings.
The Paul Ricard weekend had opened on Saturday with the third best overall time and the second of his class set by Moretti in qualifying 1. In the same session the 22-year-old Spaniard Guillem Pujeu, who made his return to the one-make series pairing with Brazilian Pedro Ebrahim (17 years-old), finished 13rd. Lorenzo Pegoraro was seventh in the Pro-Am sharing another Oregon Team’s Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 car with Enrico Bettera, whilst Filippo Berto, partnered with 19-year-old rookie Alessandro Mainetti, placed around the middle of the grid. In the second session Balthasar set the sixth quickest lap and fifth of the Pro. Ebrahim entered the top-10 over 48 entries. Manetti finished 23rd, and Bettera ended nine places behind him.
At the start of Race one, Moretti lost two positions due to a set-up issue. However, the Italian and Balthasar had a good pace and made no mistake to finish second with a five-second gap from the leaders. Ebrahim and Pujeu were 16th and clinched the top-10 in their class. Pegoraro and Bettera finished ninth in the Pro-Am. Unfortunately, Berto and Mainetti were forced to retire due to a driveshaft failure.
In Race two Balthasar started well from the third row of the grid, managing perfectly his tires and recovering third. After the pit-stop Moretti made a couple of overtakes, passing in the final stages Rodrigo Testa and Andrzej Lewandowski to take the lead and mantain it until the finish line. That gave important points to Oregon Team duo and let them to reach the top of the standings.
Mainetti and Berto also performed well, finishing 21st overall and tenth of the Pro. Ebrahim and Pujeu were forced to retire. Pegoraro and Bettera narrowly missed the Pro-Am top-10.
Next round will be in Spa, on 29 June-1 July, in the same weekend of famous 24 Hours.

Following a challenging weekend in Portimão, Oregon Team is set to return to the track for the second of seven International GT Open rounds scheduled this coming weekend (27-28 May) at the Belgian track of Spa-Francorchamps.
The Italian squad has confirmed its two-car assault, fielding a brand-new Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 for Pierre-Louis Chovet and Maximilian Paul (who claimed two top 10 finishes in Algarve) and a second car for Pietro Perolini and Daan Arrow Pijl duo.
“The Spa race is very important for us, as we aim to redeem after the tough weekend we endured in Portugal,” commented Jerry Canevisio, who leads the team alongside Giorgio Testa. “Now we go to two tracks like Spa and Hungaroring, that suit the Lamborghini well and the BoP has also improved compared to Portimão.”
While both Oregon Team crews scored points in Portimão, they will strive to capitalize on their performance as much as possible starting from the next weekend, and everything seems OK to show well. Last year, at the Ardennes track, Oregon Team secured the pole position and then a victory and a third place. Eleven months later, the goal remains the same.
Spa helds only a 2h20-minute plus one lap race instead of two. The start is scheduled on Sunday at 12:45, while the two qualifying sessions will commence on Saturday at 11:45 and 13:40, with the starting grid determined by the average of the best times obtained by each driver. The two free practice sessions, each lasting one hour, are scheduled on Friday. The race will be live streamed on YouTube.
In the same weekend, Spa will also host the Clio Cup Italia that heads to the second of six double rounds and where Oregon Team will field a car for “Due”, who is currently fourth in the Racers’ standings, six points behind the leader. Qualifying one is scheduled on Saturday at 12:50, with Race 1 start at 17:25. The second qualifying will start on Sunday at 9:55, ahead of the second 25-minute plus one lap race at 16:30.

Oregon Team returns to the International GT Open with two Pro duos, aiming to defend the title claimed last year with Leonardo Pulcini and Benjamin Hites.
The Cremosano-based squad faces its second season in the Jesus Pareja’s series with the Lamborghinis, bringing the brand-new Huracán GT3 EVO2s to the championship debut. The team led by Jerry Canevisio and Piergiorgio Testa will field two cars, alongside its Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe program.
One of the crews will be formed by Maximilian Paul and Pierre-Louis Chovet. The 23-year-old German racer has a huge experience in the ADAC GT Masters and did some participations in the DTM and IMSA. To pair him will be 20-year-old Frenchman Chovet, who moved last year from the single seaters to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe.
The other car will be shared by Pietro Perolini and Daan Pijl. Both raced in the Sant’Agata Bolognese’s one-make series. In 2018 the first one clinched the Italian GT title of the Super GT Cup driving a Lamborghini. In the same series, Dutchman Pijl (19 years old) claimed last season some podium finishes. He also made a couple of appearances in the GT Cup Europe in 2021 and claimed three Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe victories in the same year, two at Misano and one at Spa.
“We aim to double the last year title with the young duo Paul/Chovet as well as with Perolini/Pijl. After the last year victory with the Lamborghini, in our first season in the GT3, we have more experience and this could help us to make weel again“, stated Jerry Canevisio.
The 2023 calendar of the International GT Open will consist in seven rounds. The first at Portimão (30 April), followed by Spa (28 May), Hungaroring (18 June), Le Castellet (23 July), Red Bull Ring (10 September), Monza (24 September) and Barcelona (22 October).
