Oregon Team starts the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with a podium finish

Oregon Team made the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe debut at Misano finishing in the top positions. In the first of five double rounds of the Sant’Agata Bolognese’s one-make series, Dorian Boccolacci and Kevin Gilardoni led the pack after the pit-stop to claim the P5 overall and P4 of the Pro category, whilst Damiano Fioravanti and Lorenzo Bontempelli were third in the Pro-Am.

The squad of Jerry Canevisio and Giorgio Testa celebrated in Qualifying 1 the category pole position with Fioravanti and the 7th overall quicktime with Boccolacci. Frenchman in the very first lap recovered three positions and remained very closed to the top-3.

After the pit-stop Gilardoni took the lead, but then he moved back to P5 and fourth of the Pro. Fioravanti completed a good first driving stint securing the Pro-Am leadership. Eventually Bontempelli moved to third.

Tomorrow in the second 50-minute race Gilardoni – who found some traffic in his flying lap in qualifying – will start from the sixth row. Bontempelli is fifth in Pro-Am.

Race 2 will start at 13.20, live streamed on YouTube and Lamborghini Squadra Corse official Facebook.
